A: Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides professional care to employees in order to offer counseling that is easily accessible and without cost to the employee.
Q: Who can use EAP?
A: All employees have access to the EAP at no cost to the employee.
Q: How do you use EAP?
A: Participation in the Employee Assistance Program is encouraged. You can either call directly to the EAP Counseling service or sign up to have the counselor call you in the receptionist office of your work site.
Q: What about confidentiality?
A: The information you share with the EAP Counselor is private and confidential. There are some laws and situations that can affect this, such as a crisis situation. However. Your EAP counselor will be happy to discuss this with you.
Q: What are some reasons to try out the EAP service?
A: Participation in the EAP is voluntary. Many people access the EAP service due to needing some help in these areas:
- Feeling stressed
- Trying to cope with work or family life
- Looking for some guidance in making a big decision
- Experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety
- Panic attacks
- Marital concerns
- Conflict resolution

Q: What should I expect?
When you call the EAP, you will speak first to the EAP appointment secretary who will ask you which times work best for your schedule to meet with the EAP Counselor. You do not need to say why you are wanting to see the counselor or offer any insurance information, as this is a free service for you.

The EAP Counselor that will be providing the service for your company is a Master’s level counselor and will assist in individual therapy, family counseling, or any referrals that might be requested in further helping the employee.
